Tumblr Controls aren’t showing on your theme?

Hey guys! I know a lot of people are having issues when it comes to the dashboard/follow/etc buttons not showing on themes. It’s usually the themes that are made by other tumblr users.

I am here to show you how to fix that! Also, reblog to save a life.

@hijackboysroleplay I wanted to send you a message but your blogs really glitchy, things like ask and more are appearing behind your blogs dash, I thought I should let you know. You also have the glitch that hides ‘follow/message/reblog’ at the top of the screen, I fixed it on my blog earlier today with this: http://mjwatson.tumblr.com/post/138239102796/tumblr-controls-arent-showing-on-your-theme-hey

vcigar: vcigar: wheres all the support for the emotional abuse victims no, seriously. victims of emotional abuse have it hard because they do not have the physical marks or the records to “prove” to someone they were hurt and are hurting. most people will not take emotional abuse as seriously as physical abuse, saying “you… Continue reading

If you listen to the end of tangled…. Rapunzel and Eugene didnt get married until several years later

Tumblr gets schooled by the Disney fandom

Also let’s not forget Aurora was betrothed (which uhh, was a thing and some places still is).

Cinderella had to be locked in her home away from her prince whilst she knew he was looking for her.

When Ariel was permanently turned back into a human by her father, we don’t know how much time passed between that day and their wedding.

Snow was under the sleeping curse for at least half a year. Remember the lovely commentary animated films used to do? At the end of the film, it states, “The Prince, who had searched far and wide, heard of the maiden who slept in the glass coffin.” Additionally, it shows changes in season.
And finally we don’t even see a marriage between The Prince and Snow.

🙌👏

So really, Anna is the only princess who tries to marry a prince right away

I am so proud of everyone who commented on this

This post is priceless. Way to go, Disnerds!

And wait, WTF. Why are the princesses the targets of derision here? Prince Phillip was ready to marry Aurora after just running into her in the forest. And then he risked his life and fought a dragon. He didn’t even know her real name, he thought she was some random peasant from the woods and he was ready to walk away from his kingdom. Why isn’t he on trial here?

Prince Charming, same thing. He’d met Snow White before, but he didn’t know she was the maiden he was looking for. He literally heard about some dead girl in the woods and was like, “I must have her for my bride.” We’re going to blame that on Snow White? She was unconscious. And aside from singing one song about him, she was kind of wrapped up in her own thing with her dwarf friends.

Jasmine didn’t even want to get married at all for like 90% of the movie. Aladdin pursued her, going so far as to completely overhaul his image to impress her.

Cinderella didn’t ever say she wanted to get married, either. Her Prince dancd with her once, then tracked her down by her shoe size. Again, he was the one who wanted to get married. She kind of just went back to her regular life with a bittersweet memory.

WTF is up with blaming princesses for the princes’ bad judgment?

I will forever defend Ariel – because she was fascinated/obsessed with humans for a long time before she spotted Eric.  She has a very powerful father who scares his adviser, throws violent tantrums, and seems to have rigid and identical expectations for all of his many daughters.  She wants as far away from that as possible – no, actually, she wants further away from that than is realistically possible.  Then she sees Eric, is attracted, ship fire happens, she saves his life … and her conscious perception of this experience is that she falls in love.  With, yes, a guy she just met.  But he’s not the REASON she wants to be human; he’s just the little extra push she needed to go from wishful thinking to actual determination to make this happen.  I don’t think this is entirely about love; I think it’s at least as much about the experience of saving him.  She did this huge, scary, powerful thing – which was proof that she could do huge, scary, powerful things.  Someone was alive because of her, because of her snap decision that nope, this was not happening if she could do anything about it.  It taught her that she could, in fact, do something about it – and if she could save him, maybe she could save herself.

In short: don’t trash-talk Ariel as an infatuated teenager.  Sure she was, but she didn’t change her body and give up her world for a man.  She chose the world she wanted to live in and what she valued most and least about herself and her body.  Sometimes parents do not know best; sometimes you have to get the fuck out and survive on your own.  It’s best not to go find another abusive figure to control you in place of your shitty parent, but a whole hell of a lot of people do.  You don’t know better.

So yeah, Ariel, not-entirely-a-metaphor for everybody who grew up in that weird no man’s land between obvious abuse and authoritarian but benign parenting.  Give her a pass on the infatuation, please.

Also both Tiana and Belle didn’t want to get married, Belle just wanted to save her dad, and Tiana just wanted to get her restaurant/cafe. They spent ages with their ‘princes’ before they fell in love and got married.
